CompTIA Series Certifications
In the realm of continued reliance and dependence on Information Technology (IT), TYAD offers the CompTIA series of certifications. Recognized globally, these certifications are pivotal for IT professionals seeking to validate their expertise. Additionally, TYAD offers comprehensive courses that teach all CompTIA classes to ensure thorough preparation for certification exams.
1. CompTIA A+: This entry-level certification is essential for IT professionals. It covers foundational IT skills across a variety of devices and operating systems. The A+ certification ensures that employees are proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and understanding a wide array of issues from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security.
2. CompTIA Network+: This certification validates the technical skills required to securely establish, maintain, and troubleshoot the essential networks that businesses rely on. This certification is crucial for roles such as network administrators, network field engineers, and network support specialists.

ETAI-CETa and CET Journeyman Certifications
The Electronics Technicians Association International (ETAI)-Communications Electronics (ETAI-CETa) certification is also available to further support the development of technical expertise. 1. ETAI-CETa (Electronics Technicians Association, International Certified Electronics Technician - Associate Level): This certification is designed for entry-level electronics technicians. It covers basic electronics concepts, including DC and AC circuits, analog and digital electronics, and microprocessors. The ETAI-CETa certification validates the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in electronics.
2. CET Journeyman: This certification advances the skills of electronics technicians to the journeyman level, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in electronics. It builds on the associate-level knowledge to prepare technicians for more complex tasks and responsibilities in their field.
Fiber Optics Training and Certification
The Fiber Optics course and certifications are among the newest capabilities for TYAD, reflecting DoD commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. These courses culminate in a certification through the Electronics Technicians Association International (ETAI), a recognized industry standard. These certifications validate the technical expertise of employees in handling fiber optic technologies, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the telecommunications sector. TYAD teaches all fiber optics classes to ensure that students receive the highest level of training.
1. Fiber Optics Technician Course: This course equips students with the skills to install, terminate, and test fiber optic networks. It covers an inclusive range of topics, from the fiber optics basics to advanced installation techniques.
2. Fiber Optics Installer Course: This course focuses on the practical aspects of fiber optics installation, including hands-on training in installing and troubleshooting fiber optic systems. It is designed for students looking to specialize in the physical deployment of fiber optic networks.
IPC Certifications
To support the electronics manufacturing sector, TYAD introduced several IPC certifications, recognized as the gold standard in the electronics industry. TYAD offers comprehensive courses that teach IPC criteria and standards to ensure participants are thoroughly trained and prepared for certification.
1. IPC-7711/21: This certification focuses on rework, modification, and repair of electronic assemblies. It ensures that technicians are skilled in restoring electronic products to their original specifications, extending the life of electronic devices.
2. IPC J-STD-001: Known as the Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, this certification sets the industry standard for soldering processes and materials. It is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of soldered connections in electronic assemblies.
3. IPC-A-610: This certification, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, provides comprehensive standards for the visual inspection of electronic assemblies. It is widely used to ensure the quality and workmanship of electronic products, from consumer electronics to aerospace systems.
4. IPC/WHMA-A-620: This certification, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, sets the industry benchmark for the quality and reliability of cable and wire harness assemblies. It covers a wide range of topics, from crimping and soldering to mechanical assembly and testing.
Project Management and Supply Chain Certifications
In response to the growing demand for project management and supply chain expertise, TYAD also facilitates the following certifications:
1. Project Management Professional (PMP): This globally recognized certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) demonstrates an individual's competence in project management. It covers key areas such as initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects, ensuring that certified professionals can lead and direct projects effectively.
2. APICS Certifications: Offered by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), APICS certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are vital for professionals in supply chain and operations management. EPA 608 and 609 Certifications
Recognizing the importance of environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance in the HVAC and automotive sectors, TYAD also introduced the following Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications. These certifications underscore TYAD commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory adherence, providing employees with the knowledge and credentials needed to perform their roles responsibly and effectively.
1. EPA 608 Certification: This certification is crucial for technicians who handle refrigerants. It ensures that individuals understand how to safely work with and dispose of refrigerants, minimizing environmental impact. The certification covers four types: Type I for small appliances, Type II for high-pressure appliances, Type III for low-pressure appliances, and Universal for all types.
2. EPA 609 Certification: This certification is specific to automotive technicians working with mobile air conditioning systems. It ensures that technicians are knowledgeable about safe refrigerant handling practices and environmental regulations related to mobile air conditioning units.
State of the Art Classrooms
As an official Electronics Technicians Association International (ETA) test site and a Pearson VUE Test Center, we provide convenient, on-site testing for all our certification programs, offering a streamlined path to professional development. Notably, TYAD boasts one of only two Pearson VUE military test centers in Pennsylvania, providing a unique and valuable resource for military personnel seeking certification.
