Cyber COE Designation

As a strategic defense industrial base services provider, TYAD recognizes the need for robust and comprehensive cyber integration and support services. TYAD provides a host of cyber support capabilities to enable secure communications across the Army fielded suites of equipment. The cyber services offer support across all phases of acquisition within the Army portfolio to enhance operational readiness of equipment through the Authority to Operate (ATO) process. TYAD cyber capabilities continue to grow as the Army continues to define and redefine the Network of the Future.  Since 2015, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) continuously invests in growing resources, facilities, infrastructure, personnel and demonstrated past performance to provide excellent cyber support.

 

The TYAD cyber facility has a Special Purpose Processing Node (SPPN), which provides scalable computer and data storage capabilities supporting current and future workloads to include on post services and efforts. The facility encompasses approximately 45,000 square feet of mission space, which includes a mezzanine equipped with seating for up to 120 employees and operates as an approved open storage facility up to secret. The 100% Army Civilian Workforce has the required certifications to support any effort, including appointments as ISSMs, ISSOs, and ISOs to support full-scale cyber capability, including accreditations at any stage. Team member qualifications include:

  • National security clearances
  • Industry IT/Cyber Certifications
  • PMP Certified for programmatic requirements
  • 100% DoD Civilian Workforce
  • DoD 8570 and 8140 compliant Cyber workforce
  • All positions aligned with Defense Cyber Workforce
  • Scaled Agile Framework
  • Authorized and appointed ISSM/ISSO/ISSE/ISO positions
  • Agile workforce with positions designated 25-95% travel to fulfill customer demand

 

In addition to the vast capability and capacity at TYAD, TYAD established forward cyber armories strategically located at Fort Belvoir, VA, Fort Eisenhower, GA, and Fort Detrick, MD that perform mission-essential cyber capabilities and hardware/software integration of capability sets to support defensive cyber operation missions across a multitude of Army weapon system portfolios.
