Reserve Component training

 

 

Tobyhanna Army Depot offers a unique environment for non-accredited sustainment training. Warfighters receive individual, hands-on training from Depot journeyman technicians in C5ISR equipment and systems. This training is available to all Branches and Components of the Armed Forces of the United States.

Training Hours: During Annual Training, Warfighters will work the same hours as Depot civilians. 

Training Support Request: Use an ELTY-Form 6390 to request Individual Training, Billeting, Rations and convoy operations. Fax all requests to the Reserve Training Coordinator 120 days prior to training start date.

IN-PROCESSING

In-processing for Inactive Duty for Training (IDT): Advance Party personnel will report to Summerall Barracks (Building 230) no later than 1300 Friday, unless other arrangements have been made with the Reserve Component Training Coordinator.

In-processing for Annual Training (AT): Advance Party personnel will report to Summerall Barracks (Building 230) no later than 1600, the day prior to the arrival of the main body, unless other arrangements have been made with the Reserve Component Training Coordinator. 

The Advance Party will be responsible to:

  • Provide a current Alpha Roster of unit personnel, and any changes in strength to the Reserve Component Training Coordinator
  • Receive and sign for billeting and administrative spaces within the Summerall Barracks from the Assistant Housing Manager
  • Coordinate with the Post Restaurant Manager for rations
  • Coordinate the arrival of the main body and provide copies of the convoy clearance (if a military convoy)

ADMINISTRATION

Identification Card: All military personnel are required to have a valid identification/common access card. The Pass and ID Branch can issue replacement Common Access Cards. Contact the Pass and ID Branch at (570) 615- 8596.

Security Clearance: Personnel requiring a valid security clearance to perform training must be vetted by the Joint Personnel Adjudication System. The Unit Personnel Security Officer is responsible to submit a Visitor Authorization Request prior to arrival.

Military Courtesy, Uniform and Appearance: Warfighters will adhere to the appropriate Regulation / Order of their respective Branch governing uniform and appearance. Military Courtesy will be observed.

Emergencies, Accidents and Incidents: All accidents and incidents occurring during training at TYAD (on or off post) will be reported through the unit chain of command and the Reserve Component Training Coordinator at the time of occurrence. Specifics will be addressed at the in-briefing.
