Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport to depot (approximately 29 miles). Merge on I-81 North (8.6 miles). Take exit 187 toward 1-84 East / Mount Pocono / I-380 South / Milford / US-6 East / Carbondale (0.5 miles). Merge onto I-380 South / I-84 East toward Mont Pocono / Milford (3.8 miles). Keep right to take I-380 South via Exit 4 toward Mount Pocono (15.6 miles). Take exit 8 the PA-611 South exit ramp toward PA 423 / Tobyhanna ( 0.4 miles). Stay straight to entrance of depot.

Lehigh Valley International Airport to depot (approximately 50 miles). Merge on US-22 East (8.6 miles). Merge onto PA-33 North towards Stroudsburg (24.8 miles). Merge onto I-80 West towards Hazleton (9.0 miles). Merge onto I-380 North via Exit 293 toward Scranton (7.3 miles). Take the PA-423 Exit 8 toward Tobyhanna (0.2 miles). Turn right onto PA-423 (0.2 miles). Turn left at traffic light onto 611 (0.8 miles). Turn right to entrance of depot.

Hazleton to depot (approximately 39 miles). Merge onto I-80 East (30.4 miles). Merge onto I-380 North via Exit 293 toward Scranton (7.6 miles). Take the PA-423 Exit 8 toward Tobyhanna (0.2 miles). Turn right onto PA-423 (0.2 miles). Turn left at traffic light onto 611 (0.8 miles). Turn right to entrance of depot.

Stroudsburg to depot (approximately 21.8 miles). Merge onto I-80 West (12.2 miles). Merge onto I-380 North via Exit 293 toward Scranton (7.3 miles). Take the PA-423 Exit 8 toward Tobyhanna (0.2 miles). Turn right onto PA-423 (0.2 miles). Turn left at traffic light onto 611 (0.8 miles). Turn right to entrance of depot.

Binghamton, New York to depot (approximately 78.4 miles). Merge on I-81 South towards Scranton, PA (57.3 miles). Take exit 187 toward 1-84 East / Mount Pocono / I-380 South / Milford / US-6 East / Carbondale (0.4 miles). Merge onto I-380 South / I-84 East via the exit on the left (4.0 miles). Keep right to take I-380 South via Exit 4 toward Mount Pocono (15.6 miles). Take exit 8 the PA-611 South exit ramp toward PA 423 / Tobyhanna ( 0.4 miles). Stay straight to entrance of depot.

New York City to depot. Merge onto I-80 West. Merge onto I-380 North via Exit 293 toward Scranton (7.3 miles). Take the PA-423 Exit 8 toward Tobyhanna (0.2 miles). Turn right onto PA-423 (0.2 miles). Turn left at traffic light onto 611 (0.8 miles). Turn right to entrance of depot.

Access Control

All visitors seeking access to TYAD need to bring valid photograph identification. Visitors wishing to drive onto the installation must have a valid Driver’s License, current vehicle registrations and a valid mechanical inspection. Vehicles entering TYAD premises are subject to search at any time. Any visitor to the installation must enter through the Right Lane at the Main Gate to be processed.

Cell Phone Usage

Limited Use: The use of personal cellular phones is limited to certain restricted areas within the installation in order to prevent interference with the depot’s electronics maintenance mission. Acceptable locations include cafeterias and exterior locations not adjacent to functioning electronics equipment. Furthermore, cellular phones with integrated digital cameras with either still or video capabilities are prohibited at TYAD.

Prohibited Use: (Driver distractions) Vehicle operators and operators of Government owned vehicles shall not use cell phones unless the vehicle is safely parked or unless they are using a hands-free device. The wearing of any other portable headphones, earphones, or other listening devices (except for hand-free cellular phones) while operating a motor vehicle is prohibited. Use of those devices impairs driving and masks or prevents recognition of emergency signals, alarms, announcements, the approach of vehicles, and human speech.

Prohibited Property

- All firearms and weapons

- All personal protection items such as stun guns, mace, tear gas etc.

- Explosives in any manner or form or parts of

- Drugs and drug paraphernalia

- All personal electronic radio equipment not approved by the FCC

- Two-Way Radios

Contractor Information

Any contractor wishing to enter TYAD is required to submit to a background check prior to entry. ELTY Form 648-C, Request for Access to TYAD, should be completed and submitted to their TYAD Point of Contact (POC). In the event that the contractor has no TYAD POC, he/she should submit the request to the following e-mail address: usarmy.tyad.usamc.list.access-requests@mail.mil no later than three business days prior to visiting TYAD. Contractors who have not completed the mandatory background check will be delayed at the entry gate by Security personnel until the check can be completed.
