Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR)

MWR is a division of Tobyhanna Army Depot targeted to improve the well-being of all military and civilian personnel, retirees, and families within the Tobyhanna community. MWR emphasizes the importance of family, physical and social well-being.

MWR offers more than a dozen programs and services including: The Mack Fitness and Recreation Center, The Check-It-Out Center, The One Stop Shop, Tobyhanna Villas in the Poconos, Post Auto Service Shop, Post Restaurant, The Landing, Graphics Magic, Child, Youth and School Services, and Army Community Services. Each of these programs is available five or six days a week. MWR employees strive to create a friendly and convenient environment where you can be comfortable asking questions or just learning more about what MWR does.

MWR plans, hosts, and sells tickets to recreational events regularly, ranging from hockey and baseball games, bus trips, book fairs and events held here on post. Some of the most popular events at the depot are the Fishing Derby at Barney's Lake, Retiree Day and Operation Santa Claus.
