The Financial Readiness Program is focused on improving service member's personal finance status and their ability to perform as informed consumers.

Basic Prevention Education:
Classes on banking and credit union services, budget development and record keeping, debt liquidation, credit, consumer rights and obligations, insurance, and personal finance.

Mandatory First Termers/Basic Money Management:
Classes on military pay and entitlements, checkbook management, sure pay, car buying, saving and investing, and credit rights and responsibilities.
Classes on goal setting, understanding investments, planning for transition/retirement, house buying and child's education.
Classes on comparative shopping, credit laws, how to resolve consumer complaints and consumer tips.
Counsels soldier and spouse to establish financial goals and develop a savings plan, assist soldiers with reducing debt and gaining control of their financial affairs.

Emergency Food Program is a one-time emergency cash assistance that allows the soldier and family to purchase food and essential items from the Commissary. Application must be completed at ACS.

Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance:
Designed to remove the soldier's household from eligibility for benefits under the food stamp program. FSSA is a non-taxable supplemental subsistence allowance and the program was effective 1 May 01.
