The School Liaison Program is designed to inform and assist military and civilian families with school and transition issues while creating and sustaining partnerships between the military and civilian communities and schools. Contact this office Monday-Friday, 0830-1630 for information or assistance.

Educational Facilities

The Pocono Mountain School District serves Tobyhanna Army Depot. If you live off-post your child will attend the local public school in your area. There are also various private and parochial schools in the surrounding communities.

The Community Preschool is one of the services offered through Child Development Services. The preschool operates from September through June and is for preschoolers age 3 to 5 years. For information call the CDS at 570-615-6148/DSN 795-6148. The preschool is located on post.

The Army Continuing Education System at Tobyhanna is handled through Training and Development. Call 570-615-7221/DSN 795-7221 Monday through Friday from 0730-1600.

There are numerous colleges, universities and trade schools in the Pocono Mountain region, including: East Stroudsburg University, University of Scranton, Marywood University, Northampton Community College, Pennsylvania State University, Wilkes College, Luzerne Community College, Kings College, Monroe County Area Vocational-Technical School.
