Limited Use of Cell Phones
The use of personal cellular phones is limited to certain restricted areas within the installation in order to prevent interference with the depot’s electronics maintenance mission. Acceptable locations include cafeterias and exterior locations not adjacent to functioning electronics equipment. Furthermore, cellular phones with integrated digital cameras with either still or video capabilities are prohibited at Tobyhanna Army Depot.
Prohibited Use of Cell Phones
Driver distractions. Vehicle operators and operators of Government owned vehicles shall not use cell phones unless the vehicle is safely parked or unless they are using a hands-free device. The wearing of any other portable headphones, earphones, or other listening devices (except for hand-free cellular phones) while operating a motor vehicle is prohibited. Use of those devices impairs driving and masks or prevents recognition of emergency signals, alarms, announcements, the approach of vehicles, and human speech.

All personal protection items such as stun guns, mace, tear gas etc.

Explosives in any manner or form or parts of.

Drugs and drug paraphernalia.

All personal electronic radio equipment not approved by the FCC.

Two-Way Radios
All visitors seeking access to Tobyhanna Army Depot need to bring valid photograph identification. Visitors wishing to drive onto the installation must have a valid Driver’s License, current vehicle registrations and a valid mechanical inspection. Vehicles entering Tobyhanna Army Depot premises are subject to search at any time. Any visitor to the installation must enter through the Right Lane at the Main Gate to be processed.
Contractor Information
Any contractor wishing to enter Tobyhanna Army Depot is required to submit to a background check prior to entry. ELTY Form 648-C, Request for Access to Tobyhanna Army Depot, should be completed and submitted to their Tobyhanna Point of Contact. In the event that the contractor has no Tobyhanna Point of contact, he/she should submit the request to the following e-mail address: usarmy.tyad.usamc.list.access-requests@mail.milno later than three business days prior to visiting Tobyhanna Army Depot. Contractors who have not completed the mandatory background check will be delayed at the entry gate by Security personnel until the check can be completed.

Hours of Operation
Normal operating hours for Tobyhanna Army Depot are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. An exception to these hours is weekends and holidays.
