Training at Tobyhanna Army Depot offers a unique training environment for soldiers and civilian technicians for non-accredited (sustainment) training. This enables soldiers to receive top notch classroom training and, when applicable, hands-on training, conducted by depot journeyman. These journeymen have a wealth of experience with some of the Department of Defense's most state-of-the-art equipment.
The mission of the Reserve Component Training is to ensure that Reserve Warfighters receive the highest quality training available in the repair, overhaul and fabrication of communications and electronics equipment. In addition, soldiers receive hand-on instruction on systems maintenance to include radios, airborne surveillance equipment, navigation equipment, satellite communications equipment and telecommunications equipment. The hands-on sustainment training provided is dictated by unit commanders/training NCOs. This training is tailored to the Warfighters’ individual collective tasks or mission essential tasks.
